Don't tell me "just get first place in every race" b/c i did and i only end up with either an A or 1 star and sometimes 2 stars. what does it depend on to get the 3 star rank?How do you get a 3 star rank in the cups in mario kart wii?While finishing first is important, the ranking also takes into account how well you drive within each race.



So in addition to winning the cup with 60 points, you need to hold first place during most or all of each individual race within the cup, stay off the grass, avoid obstacles, don't fall off cliffs, etc.. These are factors in determining how many stars you get (or don't get).



I believe that your finish time is also a factor in determining how high your rank is, so be sure to have a super low finish time for each race as well.
