Are you allowed to bring your own alcohol into a 5 star hotel?

Iam planning on staying in a 5 star hotel where i live just for one night with my girlfriend, i want to know am i allowed to bring my own alchohol into the hotel?Are you allowed to bring your own alcohol into a 5 star hotel?You can bring your own alcohol, but make sure not to open the mini bar they charge you a lot for their drinks.
