What could be a story line for the life cycle of a star? in a childrens book. How would you write a childrens story about the life of a star?that's a tuff one. When you think about it, the life of a star is kinda lonely. It's born. Then it sits out in the dark space all alone for billions of years. Maybe it has a planet or two to keep it company, but most don't. Then it grows old and starts to grow, but knowing it's about to die, it breathes out gases and materials so perhaps another star will be born to take it's place and then it collapses from all that hard work. If it is angry enough about dying, it turns itself into a swirling black hole that starts to eat all the other things around it. On the other hand, maybe it just wants to go easily so it turns itself into a white dwarf and quietly shines until it is no more. How would you write a childrens story about the life of a star?SOLAR MASS STAR --
1. Accretion within a nebula
2. Protostar (..core temperature not hot enough to initiate nuclear fusion..)
3. New star (..core temperature high enough to initiate nuclear fusion..)
4. Main sequence (..star becomes mainly stable in luminosity and temperature..)
5. Giant phase (..nuclear fuel exhausted; star greatly increases in size..)
6. White dwarf stage (..remaining mass of star contracts to about the diameter of Earth..)
GREATER THAN SOLAR MASS STAR --
Phases 1 through 5 very much the same, but 6th phase will end the star's life in a supernova explosion. From there it will evolve into either a neutron star or a black hole. How would you write a childrens story about the life of a star?Since the asker is choosing to leave this to a vote, I have withdrawn my story outline. Good luck on your project.
