What is the radius and temperature of this star?

if this star has a total luminosity 1000 times lower than the Sun's, and that the light measured from it peaks at 10,000 Angstroms, what is the star's radius?(expressed in radii of the Sun) and also what is its temperature? (Sun's temperature=5770 K)

plz help!What is the radius and temperature of this star?Consider the equation

vT = 0.0029

where v = peak wavelength of light emitted

T = surface temperature

10,000 angstrom = 10,000 x 10^-10m = 1.0x10-6m

so T = 0.0029/1.x10-6m

T = 2900K

The luminosity of the sun is given by the equation

L = 4蟺R^2蟽T^4

where T = kelvin temperature, 蟽 = Stefan - Boltzmann constant (5.67脳10鈭? W路m-2路K-4), R = radius of the sun

plugging in the numbers, we obtain

L = 3.8x10^26cdm-1

now to obtain the luminosity of the star we divide this result by 1000

to get 3.8 x 10^23

to find the radius we use the equation

R = sqrt(L/4蟺蟽T^4) (in this case T = 2900K as calculated above)

R = 8.7 x 10^7m

written as a multiple of solar radii we obtain

0.125 solar radius
