Why does this star twinkle more than others?

Right now in virginia, its clear skies and im laying on the roof looking at stars, and i can see that this star is twinkling more than others.. WAYYY more.. and its twinkling all colors (red blue yellow white?) and its to the left of the moon, its not close, pretty far, but you can see the moon in your peripherals if you were to look at that star. Why does this star twinkle more than others? That's Capella. The reason it is twinkling so much is that it is close to the horizon, and you are looking through a lot of layers of air at various temperatures, which refracts the stars light at slightly different angles.
